A bed leaves behind a wide, shallow band of floor that nothing upright can occupy. This soft-sided bag is cut for exactly that shape at 41 by 18 inches and only 6 inches high, with a clear panel across the top so the contents can be identified without pulling the whole thing out.
A transparent panel forms the top face, which means a bag of sweaters can be told apart from a bag of spare bedding by looking rather than unzipping. Under a bed that matters more than it sounds, since every misidentified bag costs a full retrieval and an awkward crawl to put it back.
The zipper runs around three sides, so the top lifts back like a lid instead of leaving a narrow slot to feed clothing through. Loading a folded stack in one piece becomes possible, and the same opening lets the bag be packed to its full 6-inch depth without crushing what went in first.
Polypropylene fabric in beige keeps the bag light and the sides soft, so it flexes past a bed rail or a low frame rather than catching on it. The neutral tone also stays unobtrusive in a closet, where this shape works just as well standing on a shelf as lying under a mattress.
Six-piece black magnet set of four hinges and two handles that gives a steel garage door carriage-house detailing.
Six forest green fabric cubes with grommet pulls, each 11 inches square for standard cube shelving.
