Low and lidded, these two bins take the paperwork and small supplies that accumulate in a home office. Each measures 15 inches long, 13 wide, and 8 high, with fiberboard panels wrapped in a textured linen-style cloth and chromed grommets set into the handle openings.
Polished grommets ring each handle, reinforcing the cloth where fingers pull and adding a hard line against the soft weave. The gray is a mid tone that works with both white shelving and darker wood, and the texture of the fabric keeps the pair from looking like molded plastic on an open shelf.
Overall height stops at 8 inches, which fits the gap beneath a fixed shelf where a taller box would have to be angled in. Across a 15 by 13 inch base that shallow volume still holds a full ream of paper, a run of files, or a layer of folded accessories.
Lids turn the bins into closed containers for the things that should not be on display: statements, cables, spare toiletries, craft leftovers. Two of them side by side split those categories, and because both are the same size the pair stacks when a shelf runs out of width before it runs out of height.
Six-piece black magnet set of four hinges and two handles that gives a steel garage door carriage-house detailing.
Six forest green fabric cubes with grommet pulls, each 11 inches square for standard cube shelving.
