A spiral runs around the weave of both baskets, the detail that separates them from plain round containers, and each comes with its own lid. Straight, non-tapered sides mean the full 14.25 inch width carries all the way down to the base instead of narrowing partway.
The weave turns in a spiral around the body, so the pattern reads differently depending on the angle of view and catches light along the raised coils. Natural corn leaf supplies the pale, slightly straw-toned surface that places the pair in coastal, beach, country, and farmhouse rooms.
Each basket has its own lid, which converts open storage into closed storage and makes the top a flat surface that a stack of books or another basket can rest on. Lidded baskets also work on open shelving where the contents are not meant to be part of the display.
Because the sides run straight instead of tapering inward, the base measures the same 14.25 inches as the mouth, so nothing has to be packed into a cone. Height stops at 5.5 inches, a shallow round that slides onto a closet shelf or under a bench without blocking the seat.
Six-piece black magnet set of four hinges and two handles that gives a steel garage door carriage-house detailing.
Six forest green fabric cubes with grommet pulls, each 11 inches square for standard cube shelving.
