Nineteen inches wide by 16 deep and 10 high, this is the box for the awkward items that defeat ordinary bins. Poly-cotton blended canvas forms a smooth shell over a reinforced base, the lid lifts off completely, and the whole thing folds flat when the shelf is needed for something else.
Stiffening worked into the sides is what keeps the walls from bowing when another loaded box sits on top, turning a tall closet shelf into two usable levels. The reinforced base does the same job underneath, holding the 19 by 16 inch footprint square so a stack stays aligned rather than leaning.
Ten inches of interior height across a wide footprint suits the things that fit nothing else: bulky linens, sports equipment, boxed games, or an armful of mismatched objects waiting to be sorted. One jumbo box absorbs what would otherwise be split across several smaller containers on the same shelf.
Smooth blended canvas in natural beige reads as an undyed neutral, easy to line up in multiples on open shelving without introducing a color to the room. The removable lid closes over the contents against dust, and lifting it off gives full access rather than a hinged flap to hold back.
Six-piece black magnet set of four hinges and two handles that gives a steel garage door carriage-house detailing.
Six forest green fabric cubes with grommet pulls, each 11 inches square for standard cube shelving.
