Square corners sit flat against a wall and against each other, which is why this shape wastes less of a closet or a laundry nook than a round basket of the same width. The body rises 16 inches on a 13.75 inch square footprint, with handles at the sides.
Flat sides mean the basket meets a wall along its whole width instead of touching at one point, and two of them line up without the wedge of dead space a pair of rounds leaves between them. On a 13.75 inch square base, the shape also matches the geometry of shelving and cabinetry.
Height of 16 inches makes this the basket for things that stand up: rolled exercise mats, long-handled brushes, a column of towels, or a day of laundry waiting to be moved. Depth like that hides the contents from a standing viewpoint, so the basket still looks tidy when it is full.
Natural handwoven fiber gives a laundry corner or bathroom something with texture in it, where a molded plastic bin registers strictly as equipment. Color and texture vary from the photographs because the material is a plant, and oversized handles on both sides mean a full basket crosses a hallway in one lift.
