Oversized handles are the feature that decides where this basket can go, because a deep round full of blankets is awkward to move otherwise. Natural seagrass is woven by hand into a body 13.75 inches across with walls rising 11.75 inches from the floor.
The handles are cut large on purpose, wide enough for a whole hand rather than a few fingers, which is what allows a basket packed with throws or kindling to be lifted and carried rather than shoved along. Set high on the body, they also keep the weight balanced under the mouth.
Walls 11.75 inches high make this a basket for things stored upright: rolled towels standing on end, a folded duvet pressed down, or toys that would spill out of a shallow tray. The 13.75 inch round footprint still fits a closet floor or the corner beside a bathtub.
Handwoven seagrass carries a cool, slightly green-toned straw color that adds freshness where a room runs heavy on paint and tile. Color and texture shift between pieces because the fiber is natural, so the basket looks gathered rather than factory-matched, part of why it suits a bathroom or a home office.
