Lids that stay attached do not get lost or stacked somewhere else, which is the quiet advantage of this set of three. All are handwoven water hyacinth with handles built into the sides, and the largest measures 14.25 inches long by 11 inches wide.
Each basket carries its own lid fixed to the body, so closing one is a matter of folding the top down rather than hunting for a match. A closed lid also gives a flat upper surface, which lets the baskets be stacked or used as a landing spot for a small object.
Handles are worked into the weave instead of added as separate loops, keeping the outline clean while still giving a grip at both ends. That construction holds up when a loaded basket comes down from a high shelf, where a stitched-on handle takes the entire weight at two small points.
The set reduces to the footprint of the largest basket once the smaller two slide inside, so the storage itself stores. Used separately, the three cover a kitchen counter, a bathroom shelf, and a bedroom dresser, with the 14.25 by 11 by 7.25 inch large size taking the bulk of a load.
