Ventilation through the brushed stainless body lets air reach damp towels, while the engineered wooden lid gives the hamper a flat top solid enough to hold a lamp or a glass. In a compact bedroom that makes it a side table which happens to swallow laundry out of sight.
Openings through the metal wall keep air moving across whatever sits inside, which is the difference between a closed hamper and a stale one when gym clothes or bath towels go in damp. Brushed stainless also wipes clean and holds its curved shape without a frame behind the fabric.
An engineered wood lid caps the cylinder with a warm, flat surface that contrasts the cool metal below, and at 23.03 inches the top lands near the height of a nightstand. Setting a book, a mug, or a small plant there costs nothing, since the lid lifts away for loading.
The liner inside comes out entirely, so laundry travels to the machine in cloth instead of by the armful, and the liner itself goes through a wash when it needs one. With it out, the metal shell stays clean and the 22.88-inch body serves as a plain storage drum.
Single large canvas tote, 22 inches wide, with a vinyl-coated interior and long reinforced handles that clear a shoulder.
Folding bamboo drying rack with 11 dowels and a flat shelf for sweaters, opening to 29.25 inches wide.
