Nine inches of height is the defining number here. The brown weave puts the top at footrest level, which makes the stool useful in front of a chair, beside a bed as a landing spot, or pushed under a console table in a dorm room where floor area is counted carefully.
At 9 inches high the stool clears the underside of most console tables and low benches, so it stores out of the traffic path and pulls out when another seat is needed. The 16 inch diameter gives enough surface for a tray, a folded throw, or a pair of feet at the end of a day.
Brown resin woven into a close pattern gives the piece the look of natural fiber with none of the splintering, and the tone works in rustic, transitional, and contemporary rooms built on wood. Against a pale rug it reads as a dark anchor; beside walnut furniture it disappears into the palette.
Resin keeps the stool light for its size, so repositioning it means lifting with one hand rather than dragging it across a floor. That suits rooms that get rearranged: a dorm, a nursery, a rental living room where the same piece serves as a container, a footrest, and a seat for a visitor.
