Door backs are the last unused vertical surface in most rooms. This organizer claims one with 24 canvas pockets arranged down 64.5 inches of length, a pocket for each shoe, and sits only 2 inches off the panel so the door still swings and latches normally.
Total depth comes to 2 inches, thin enough for the organizer to live on a door that opens against a wall or into a narrow closet. Nothing projects far enough to catch a sleeve or stop the door from closing, and the canvas face hangs flat rather than bulging into the room.
Three sturdy hooks carry the load across the top edge of the door, spreading weight so the panel of canvas hangs level rather than dipping in the middle. They fit standard interior doors and some commercial ones, which covers a bedroom closet as well as a back office or a storeroom.
Twenty-four pockets hold 12 pairs with each shoe in its own slot, so nothing has to be stuffed in alongside its partner. The same grid works for art supplies, hair tools, or small accessories, which is why the organizer often outlives its first job in a craft room or a child's bedroom.
