Warm oak grain on the door lets this cabinet pass as millwork in a hallway or bedroom, while behind it sits an ironing surface of 41 by 11.75 inches. The board swings forward 44.5 inches from the wall and rotates a full 180 degrees, then recesses 3.5 inches back into the cavity.

Board Swivels 180 Degrees

A bolt under the board sets how freely it turns, and the full 180-degree rotation means a left-handed user works from the same cabinet as a right-handed one without moving anything. Plan on 66 inches of clearance side to side and 44.5 inches in front so the board can open and swing through its arc.

Two Shelves Inside the Cavity

The interior measures 13.25 inches wide by 5.375 inches deep and carries two shelves: a top shelf 4.375 inches deep with 12 inches of height above it, and a bottom shelf 3.5 inches deep with 16 inches of clearance. Spray bottles stand upright on the taller one, starch cans and folded cloths on the other.

Check the Wall Before Cutting

Because the assembly recesses 3.5 inches into the framing, the chosen stud bay has to be clear of power lines and water pipes before any cutting starts. Overall the cabinet takes up 15.75 inches of wall width, 7.75 inches of depth, and 47.45 inches of height, with the door opening to 28.5 inches during use.
