This cart builds upward instead of outward: 48 inches of height on a footprint barely wider than 17 inches. A removable washable bag underneath collects three to five loads, while two light ash laminate shelves above handle folding and supplies. Grooved wooden tracks guide the bag frame in and out.
Standing 48.03 inches tall over a 15.75 by 17.72 inch base, the cart claims height rather than floor, which is the only direction available in an apartment laundry nook or a dorm closet. A sturdy metal frame carries that column, and casters let the loaded cart roll clear of the machines when cleaning behind them.
The laundry bag holds three to five loads and lifts out for a trip through the machine, so the cart gets cleaned along with what it carried. Grooved wooden tracks guide the bag in and out of the frame on a fixed path, which keeps a full bag from twisting sideways on its way back into place.
Two laminate shelves in light ash woodgrain cap the unit, giving a surface for folding shirts straight out of the dryer and a place to keep detergent within reach. The pale wood tone keeps a tall piece from looking heavy in a small room, where a dark column would read as a wall rather than as furniture.
Single large canvas tote, 22 inches wide, with a vinyl-coated interior and long reinforced handles that clear a shoulder.
Folding bamboo drying rack with 11 dowels and a flat shelf for sweaters, opening to 29.25 inches wide.
