Carved white scrollwork lies over the mirrored surface here, so the piece functions as wall art whether or not anyone is looking into it. The wood frame measures 13.375 inches wide and 46.75 inches high, a narrow vertical format that fits the wall beside a cabinet or a doorway.
An openwork scroll pattern painted white is laid over the mirror rather than printed on it, which gives the surface depth and casts faint shadows as light moves through the day. The effect means the mirror keeps presence on a wall even in a dim hallway where plain glass would simply go dark.
The rectangular frame hangs either way, standing 46.75 inches tall on a 13.375-inch width or turning on its side to run along a wall above a bureau. That choice makes the same piece workable above a narrow console or in the slim gap between a window and a corner.
A full-sized mirror on a narrow footprint bounces daylight into corners that receive none, which is the practical reason to hang one in a cramped entry or a windowless hall. White paint over the wood frame keeps the whole object pale, suiting farmhouse, French country, and shabby chic rooms built on painted trim.
Round coffee table 31.5 inches across with a rustic ashwood top and black steel legs crossing at midpoint.
Weathered multi-colored trunk, 29 inches long, closing with an anchor clasp over board games and blankets.
