A rectangle wastes less of its surface than a round top of the same span, which is the case for this 39.25 by 19.75 inch table. Black oak laminate over engineered wood resists scratches, a reinforced black steel frame carries it, and the shelf below holds blankets and books.
Nearly 40 inches of length across a 19.75-inch depth gives room to set out a board of snacks at one end and still have clear surface at the other, which a small drum table cannot manage. The flat rectangle also accepts a tray squarely, with no overhang at the corners.
Overall height stops at 15.75 inches, slightly below the seat of most sofas, so reaching down for a mug is a short motion and the table does not interrupt the sightline across a room. That low profile suits apartments and office lounges where furniture has to stay visually out of the way.
The frame is reinforced black steel, which matters on a long rectangle where the middle of the span carries weight. Above it, scratch-resistant black oak laminate takes the daily contact of glasses and laptops, and the dark finish holds its place in transitional, farmhouse, and modern rooms alike.
Round coffee table 31.5 inches across with a rustic ashwood top and black steel legs crossing at midpoint.
Weathered multi-colored trunk, 29 inches long, closing with an anchor clasp over board games and blankets.
