Willow woven by hand gives this bin a rustic texture, and the plastic liner inside decides what it can do. With the liner in place it takes damp waste without anything reaching the weave; filled with soil instead, the same basket becomes a cover for a potted plant.
The included plastic liner forms a sealed inner wall, so liquid from a coffee cup or a watered plant never touches the willow strands behind it. That single part is what makes a natural-fiber basket practical in a kitchen or a bathroom, and it lifts out for rinsing whenever the contents leave a trace.
Hand-woven willow carries a painted finish over the natural rods, a treatment that evens out the color while leaving the texture of the weave fully visible. The material suits rooms built on natural surfaces, where a smooth molded bin would be the one object present with no grain to it at all.
Measuring 11.75 inches in diameter and 10.25 inches high, the basket is shaped with a round top that widens toward the base, proportions taking a plant pot as readily as a day of paper. Switching between those two jobs means nothing more than removing or replacing the liner inside.
