Seagrass keeps its warm straw color rather than taking a dye, which makes this barrel the quieter option in a room already full of texture. The weave is tight and handworked around a metal frame, 17 inches across, and it doubles as a low stool or a planter base.
Natural seagrass carries its own honey tone and a slight sheen that paper rope does not have, and the fiber is woven tightly enough that the barrel holds its curve without a visible armature. In boho, rustic, and contemporary rooms that warmth works against cool paint and grey upholstery as a counterweight.
A liner set inside turns the basket body into a planter deep enough for a floor plant, with the woven exterior doing the work a ceramic pot would normally do. Without the liner the same cavity stays dry and empty, and the piece reverts to a side table standing 19 inches high.
Used as a low stool the barrel supports up to 200 pounds, strength that comes from the metal frame rather than from the fiber alone. That makes it a legitimate extra seat when a room fills up, and the 17-inch diameter keeps it out of the way against a wall the rest of the time.
Round coffee table 31.5 inches across with a rustic ashwood top and black steel legs crossing at midpoint.
Weathered multi-colored trunk, 29 inches long, closing with an anchor clasp over board games and blankets.
