Barrel-shaped and wrapped in handwoven resin, this piece sits between stool, footrest, and side table without committing to any one of them. The multicolor banding puts a point of interest at knee height in a boho or eclectic room, and the metal frame underneath carries the weight of an adult perched on top.
Handwoven resin forms the visible barrel while a durable metal frame does the structural work inside it, which is why the piece holds up as seating rather than serving only as decoration. Resin also shrugs off the damp that would swell a woven natural fiber, so the table moves out to a patio for an afternoon without consequence.
At 18 inches high the top lands near chair-seat level, close enough to use as an impromptu stool when a room runs short of places to sit, and low enough to rest feet on from a sofa. The flat crown also takes a tray, a stack of books, or a small lamp when nobody needs the extra seat.
Bands of color run around the woven body, giving the barrel the handmade character a plain painted drum lacks. In a contemporary room the pattern works as the one loud object among neutrals; in a boho or eclectic space it joins the mix of textiles already there. The circular 13.75-inch footprint keeps it clear of a walkway.
Round coffee table 31.5 inches across with a rustic ashwood top and black steel legs crossing at midpoint.
Weathered multi-colored trunk, 29 inches long, closing with an anchor clasp over board games and blankets.
