An accordion frame expands to hang a wash and closes to the thickness of a panel, which is the trade a small laundry space needs. Vinyl coating over lightweight steel keeps the bars from rusting or marking what dries on them, and the white finish stays visually quiet.
The rack expands along its length to spread garments apart and collapses in one motion once the last piece comes off, so it occupies a flat slot behind a door or beside a machine between loads. Lightweight steel means carrying it from a bathroom to a balcony takes one hand.
A vinyl layer covers every bar, which is what stops rust forming on metal that sits under wet fabric for hours and prevents the staining a bare rod can leave on a pale shirt. The coating also lends the surface slight grip, so garments stay where they were hung.
Opened, the rack stands 41.54 inches high, 30.12 inches wide, and 15.16 inches deep, enough elevation for longer items to hang clear of the floor rather than pooling on it. Delicates, sweaters, hosiery, and everyday clothing dry at room temperature instead of taking the heat of a machine cycle, which is the whole argument for a portable rack in a utility space.
