Sorting happens at the hamper or it happens on the floor later. Two compartments inside this 24-inch-wide frame hold lights on one side and darks on the other, each with its own removable mesh liner. A lid covers both, and the brown linen body folds down when storage is needed elsewhere.
Each compartment carries its own removable mesh liner, so one side can travel to the machine while the other keeps filling. Mesh lets air through a pile that went in damp, and the split lets the division follow whatever rule the household uses: lights against darks, or clothing against bed and bath linens.
Polyester linen fabric wraps quality chipboard panels, which is what holds the 26-inch body square instead of letting it slouch as weight gathers at the bottom. The brown tone sits quietly beside wood furniture and neutral walls, reading as a covered box rather than as laundry gear parked in a bedroom.
A single lid drops across the full 14 by 24 inch opening, hiding both compartments at once so the contents stay out of view in a minimalist bedroom where surfaces are kept clear. With the lid down the flat top also stops the hamper from becoming the place where folded laundry gets stacked and forgotten.
Single large canvas tote, 22 inches wide, with a vinyl-coated interior and long reinforced handles that clear a shoulder.
