Below a hanging shirt there is usually a column of wasted air. This Cedarline organizer fills 26.75 inches of it with three heavy-duty cotton canvas shelves, each 12 inches square. Natural canvas breathes, so folded knits and shoes are not sealed in plastic. Cedar inserts sell separately.
Heavy-duty cotton canvas forms all three shelves, a woven surface that supports stacked T-shirts and shoes without the airtight seal of a plastic bin. Air moves through the weave, which suits cotton and wool stored for a season. The natural color stays quiet next to painted shelving and wood rods.
Specialized hooks at the top grip a standard closet rod or the round bars of a wire shelf system, so the unit works in a builder-grade reach-in as readily as in a custom closet. The hook design also holds the panel taut, which is what keeps loaded shelves from sagging toward the middle.
Each 12-inch square compartment takes an optional cedar insert, sold separately under HH25012-1, turning an open shelf into a scented base for sweaters and wool. Without inserts the same shelves handle shoes, folded shirts, handbags, or the odd stack of jeans. The 12 by 12 opening sets the limit.
