Spice jars disappear behind each other on a flat shelf. This 10.25 by 4.25 inch rack stacks them on two levels only 8.5 inches high in total, then slides the whole set forward so the labels face the cook instead of the back of the cabinet.
The narrow width is the reason this rack exists: it drops into the leftover strip beside dishes or under a wall cabinet where nothing else will fit. Depth stays at 10.25 inches, so the unit does not intrude on the main storage area sitting behind it.
