Open shelves show everything, which is fine for folded shirts and less so for socks and loose odds and ends. These two canvas bins slide into hanging closet organizers with openings of 11.75 inches wide, 7.75 inches high, and 11.75 inches deep, closing off two levels of the column.
The drawers are cut to fill an 11.75 by 7.75 by 11.75 inch compartment, the opening used by Household Essentials hanging shelf organizers. Because the fit is exact, the front face sits flush with the shelf edge rather than sagging inward, and the bin slides in and out without catching on the fabric walls.
A handle stitched to the front face gives a grip for sliding a full drawer out of a shelf at eye level or higher, where reaching in blindly is the only alternative. The bin comes out completely, so it can be carried to a bed or dresser for sorting and then pushed back into place.
Both drawers are natural canvas, an unbleached neutral that blends with the fabric organizers they fit as well as with wood closet interiors. Having two in a set means a column can hold a closed layer near the top and another at hand height, leaving the remaining shelves open for daily items.
