Light ash laminate gives the top of this sorter a pale woodgrain rather than a flat color, which keeps a 31.5-inch-wide unit from reading as appliance furniture in a bedroom. Three linen bags hang below it on grooved tracks, each sliding out when a load is ready to move.
The laminate surface carries a pale ash grain, a finish that sits beside oak floors, white closet doors, and painted trim without introducing a darker mass into the room. Smooth and sealed, the top also works as a folding ledge at 31.5 inches, close to kitchen counter height.
Every bag rides in a grooved track rather than hanging from loose hooks, so it slides forward on its own line and settles back into the same position afterward. Pulling one bag out does not disturb the two beside it, which keeps a sorted load sorted on the way to the washer.
Three washable linen bags allow division by color, by fabric type, or by whose clothes they are, the last of which settles more arguments in a shared house than any other arrangement. A depth of 17.32 inches keeps the frame close to a bedroom, closet, or laundry room wall.
Single large canvas tote, 22 inches wide, with a vinyl-coated interior and long reinforced handles that clear a shoulder.
Folding bamboo drying rack with 11 dowels and a flat shelf for sweaters, opening to 29.25 inches wide.
