Cedar hangers do two jobs at once: they hold a garment on a broad wooden shoulder, and they scent the closet in a way that discourages pests. This set of four is milled from 100 percent natural red cedar, each hanger 17.625 inches wide with a fixed bar beneath.
Built-in notches on the top edge of each shoulder catch the straps of camisoles, sundresses, and slip garments that slide off a smooth wooden hanger and end up on the closet floor. Below the shoulders, the fixed bar takes trousers and slacks, so one hanger can carry a matched suit or outfit.
The metal hook rotates a full circle, letting a garment face either direction on the rod without lifting the hanger off. That freedom matters on a crowded rail, on the back of a door, or on a hook where a fixed hanger would force the shirt to hang sideways against the wall.
Red cedar releases the aromatic oils responsible for its scent, and those oils fade as the surface ages. Light sanding opens fresh wood and brings the fragrance back, or a Cedar Fresh spray does the same without tools. Each hanger measures 9.5 inches tall and a quarter inch thick.
