This kit skips the hanging pieces entirely and concentrates on flat storage. Twelve blocks at 2.75 by 2 by 0.5 inches lie under stacks, and twelve 0.75-inch cubes fill the gaps around them, all cut from aromatic eastern red cedar grown in the United States.
The two shapes do different jobs. Blocks are broad and thin, sized to sit under a folded stack without creating a lump, while cubes are small enough to drop into corners, shoe boxes, and the pockets of a garment bag. Twenty-four pieces cover a dresser and a shelf of bins together.
Placement is the whole method here: put the pieces where the air is trapped, among clean linens and folded clothing in drawers, storage boxes, and bags. Because nothing hooks or hangs, the kit works equally well in a plastic tote, a wicker basket, and a built-in closet drawer.
The wood is 100 percent aromatic eastern red cedar, not a scented composite, so the aroma comes from the grain itself rather than an applied coating. When it quiets down after a season, a light sanding on any block or cube brings the exposed surface back to life.
