A draw cord closes the top of this hamper, which keeps a load contained on a walk down a stairwell. The interior resists moisture while mesh panels at the top let air through, and the 16 by 16 inch body collapses when the floor finally clears.
Pulling the cord gathers the opening shut over a full load, so nothing escapes on stairs and the pile stays out of sight while it waits. Released, the mouth opens to the full 16 inch square, wide enough that clothes land inside without being aimed at a narrow slot.
The inner surface resists moisture, so a damp towel dropped in after a shower does not pass through to a carpet. Breathable mesh runs along the top sections to let air move through the load, which is what keeps a closed hamper from turning stale in a small bathroom or a dorm room.
Two carrying handles change how the hamper is used: a full one lifts and travels like a basket rather than being dragged by its rim. At 25 inches high it stands tall enough for clothes to go in without bending, and it folds flat for a closet shelf once the washing is done.
Single large canvas tote, 22 inches wide, with a vinyl-coated interior and long reinforced handles that clear a shoulder.
Folding bamboo drying rack with 11 dowels and a flat shelf for sweaters, opening to 29.25 inches wide.
